January, 2011 - Laurie Venditti was hired as Project Manager of the MERLIN Project supporting the Syracuse
Police Department, Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department, Town/Village Police Departments, Upstate Police
Department and the Onondaga County Department of Information Technology.  MERLIN is the Multi-Agency
Electronic Rep
orting Law Enforcement Information Network.  

The Onondaga County Department of Information Technology has for the past 25+ years developed and
supported law enforcement systems serving mission critical systems used everyday by more than 6
2 law
enforcement
and public agencies throughout the County to share law enforcement records.  With a law
enforcement community of over 2500 officers, the newly developed MERLIN system will use an open architecture
RMS framework developed by in-house staff from the Onondaga County Department of Information Technology.
